My foster daughter is OBSESSED with Netflix’s Nimona. The character of Nimona really captures all the erratic wildness of my foster daughter’s little heart. I’ve never seen her connect so quickly to a fictional character. That, combined with the fun and exciting plot, the gorgeous animation, and her super crush on Ambrosius, means that I have seen this movie over and over again. During our sixth watch or so, I decided to take advantage of the many viewings and draw a bookmark of the main character. I tried to capture the awesome intense cell-shaded lighting of the show in the style of the bookmark. My foster daughter was thrilled!
Eevee is my favorite Pokemon. I wanted to see if I could cram Eevee and all of her possible evolutions together on a single bookmark. I had a lot of fun simplifying the designs. I lovingly call these my “Eevee beans.”
Excerpt from my fantasy where King came with them to the human realm and nothing bad ever happened.
Amaterasu is the very best girl that has ever been and if I have to die on this hill then I welcome the worms.
“Tulio and Miguel. Miguel and Tulio. Mighty and powerful gods!”
I love this movie so, so much. I couldn’t resist the call to draw this incredible duo as bookmarks. This pair is particularly special to me because they were my first collaboration with @callyanncreates! She drew the sketch, which I refined and colored. She did the background. I created the coin effect and the final shiny lighting effects. It was really fun to try to color someone else’s lines and I’m very VERY pleased with the final result.

Yu-gi-oh was my EVERYTHING during my young teen years. All of my friends played the card game and watched the anime. I used to host “dueling parties” at my house when I was in middle school. Just me and all my guy friends blasting music, eating snacks, and playing cards. Such great memories! I remember I had a water and shadow-themed deck. My strategy was to bait my opponents to attack face-down defense cards, some of which had nasty effects when flipped upright, and some of which were just weak little fish. But the more monsters I had in my discard pile, the stronger I could make my heavy-hitters. After cutting through a series of weak little guys, my opponents would get absolutely wrecked. I won more often than I lost. This fandom really inspired a lifelong love of gaming that I cherish to this day.
The Miraculous fandom is voracious. My Cat Noir and Ladybug pieces have been two of my most popular pieces by a landslide on social media, and I consistently sell out of my prints at every convention I attend as a vendor. I drew this little selfie of Marinette and Adrien as a thank-you to the enthusiastic fans, and made it available as a coloring page, which you can find by clicking the image below. 😊
