Belle was the very first bookmark I ever drew. I had a blank bookmark that I was fiddling with and decided to doodle on it. The first character that came to mind was Belle, because of her love of books and my love of Disney. I had been in a long art rut, and this piece pulled me out of it. I wondered what other characters I could draw on a bookmark-sized canvas and the rest is history.
