I spent a lot of time fiddling with the pose for Elsa’s bookmark. At first, I wanted her to be holding her hands up above her head with snow and ice dramatically swirling from her hands. But doing that made her so small on the bookmark that she no longer lined up with Anna. After quite a bit of experimentation, I found that having her hands down in front of her body worked just as well. I really struggled with the background for this one. I must have gone through eight or so different iterations that just looked too messy or busy before I finally settled on a much simpler purple background with snow. I just couldn’t figure out how to replicate the stunning scenery from the movie in such a small space.
